PROMOTED!!!!!

  Feb 1 2011. Steven was promoted to the rank of Corporal on tuesday, it was a hectic morning because no one knew who was going to promote him as his company comander was on leave. so at 8:00 in the morning amanda got a call to let her know that steven was going to get promoted as soon as she got to bogue. here are some pictures of the promotion formation for steven

BUMPING AROUND

Well since Amanda doesn't think she has a baby bump im going to post an update on her blog to show the tiny little baby bump that is the little lewis. she doesnt know im doing this because she is reading a book while im updating this.... oh wait she is looking at me while i post this guess i better hurry...lol... as of this picture it is 13 1/2 weeks along, just enough to notice the little bump and as it gets further along i will nag my wife to keep updating. for those of you who are curious ill answer 2 very important questions that we get asked all the time.
1) yes we have names picked out and if any one takes the be warned we picked them out first and were not afraid to use them. 2) we will find out the gender of our child in march some time so please stop buggin amanda because then i hear it...lol. well as promised here is the bump.

BABY

alright, here is the baby post everyone has been waiting for, we had our first ultrasound thingy today, our little fishy measured to be at 12 weeks 5 days. still don't know if its a boy or a girl we should know in about a month whenever they do another ultrasound. what do you think?

SNOW!

We got snow last weekend, about 4-5 inches, it was kinda a big thing haha so we took pics and went to go play in it hehe :) charlie doesn't like to be wet and cold though so he was trying to get back inside.

 this one is funny because you can see the dog begging to go back inside lol.

Little Monster

This post is for all of you who think our dog does nothing but sleep and eat. I know its a little long but I just thought i would show you how much he loves his little hedgehog toy we bought at wall-mart after Halloween for super cheap.

Home for the Holidays

Alright, here is the holiday post starting with thanksgiving haha. 

The way Stevens schedule works is they work every other holiday trading off with the other section, so Steven was lucky enough to get Thanksgiving off, we invited people to come over if they wanted, but it seems everyone already had their own plans so, I mad a big turkey thanksgiving meal for the two of us. :) 

For Christmas Steven had to work 5 days in a row yuck! so we opened our stockings the night before he went to work, but with luck they were nice enough to let some of the people go home on call or however they would want to phrase it. So we ended up blessed enough to have Steven home around noon on Christmas eve and had to go back to work at noon on Christmas day. It was really nice to be able to celebrate a little of both days :). on Christmas eve we drove around to look at lights in the area, but we were a little disappointed. The locals don't seem to decorate like we were hoping. and of course on Christmas morning we woke up super early and opened gifts! I finally got that sewing machine I have been wanting! hahaha, and Steven got tools, though i don't know what he plans on doing with them. 

Here is our tree this year, it turned out pretty good don't you think? 

Here is My parents tree, they saved putting up their tree and decorating it for when i came to visit after thanksgiving, (in other words) they didn't want to do it themselves because its to much work digging out all the boxes and decorations from the storage space under their stairs. It was just a quick 3 day trip to get the license plates for Stevens truck, since they wouldn't mail them to me and i had to be there in person to show my drivers license, i think its dumb but oh well it gave me an excuse to visit some of my friends and family, to bad i didn't get to see everyone.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

since I haven't really had much to say recently and been completely neglecting my blog i thought i would wish everyone a happy new year from Steven and I. I liked the saying on the picture but for irony's sake we will pretend that it is just carbonated grape juice chilling in the bucket!
