Happy Planting!

For Christmas Steven got "tools" something along the lines of he wants to build stuff with tools because thats what men do, and he didn't have any tools. the original plan was that he was going to make drawers that fit under our bed because our dresser is really to small for 2 people. But the weather has been really nice out lately and he wanted to try his hand at having a green thumb, so aside from the puppy which was most of it, our state tax refund went to also buying supplies to build a planter that we can put in our back yard and see what we can grow. all in all it turned out great, all the materials including the wood and dirt and rocks and most of the seeds came out to only a little over $100 which is pretty good, considering planters pre built can get pretty pricey, It was my idea to get some lawn chairs so we can sit out there on nice days or nights too :) we planted a little of each, of Straberries, 1 plant of mint, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, basil, and parsley, yes that sounds like alot but we wanted variety and who knows how much of it will grow. hopefully alot! :)
as far as the materials went it took a bunch of wood :P
6 bags of drainage rocks, and about 20 ish bags of dirt, (potting soil, top soil, etc) We all had a pretty good day Sunday spending the time outside putting it all together, the dogs I think enjoyed being out and under foot too!
