Smiles

Happy family !

Snow !!!

It finally snowed enough to play in ! And of course Matt loved it we had a hard time getting him bundled up before he sneaked through the doggy door. It was a little to deep for him to walk in though .

Valentine's present ?

Found this puppy at the mall right before Valentine's day. I really wished i could have gotten him for Steven, but we already have 2 dogs and i can't afford 2k on a dog. Some day I will get the mr the puppy he has always wanted

Ocean Journey

We got a call from Stevens family inviting us to the Denver Aquarium. Matt has a lobe for fish. So we hopped in the car and drove downtown. I can't believe how much fun he had. Silly boy.

Fan of the Game!

We took matt to the next mammoth game. And i submitted this photo. It won us fan of the game whith a prize of  two free tickets to the youth night game. Since we already had tickets to that game we gave them to Sara and Justin, because they always end up babysitting for us instead of seeing the game with everyone else. :) love you Aunt Sara !

First Lacrosse Game

Took Jared to his first Lacrosse game and the noise and commotion didn't even phase him.. he is such a layed back baby. The exact opposite of Matt

Baby blessing

Took these photos after Jareds baby blessing, he is wearing the same outfit as Steven and Matt. It was a really nice blessing. Great Grandpa Marcum wasn't able to come down like he did for Matt but Steven had been workin hard all year to get re fellowshiped. And was able to give Jared the blessing himself. It was awesome.

Firsts

Jareds first bath. During which matt discovered he can climb on to his dresser

Jared Mikel

Announcing Jared Mikel. DEC 18TH 7 lb 14 oz 20 in . He's so perfect an awesome addition to our family

Lasts

Matts last day as an only child. So we gave him a cookie. And my last day before Jared arived boy i got big.

Brrr

Remember that week right before Christmas when it was super cold?
We chose the coldest night to go see zoo lights, it was fun though. Matt stayed cozy warm and i spent my time hopping around trying to get the baby out. Seeing as we were so close to the hospital and all. Haha

Poor guy

Poor Matt accidentally smashed his thumb before Christmas in grandpas safe door at work. It got all sorts of bruised and we had to take him in to the doctor to get it drained. He used a little tool like a mini soldering gun to burn a hole in the finger nail. Apparently the finger nail itself doesn't have any nerves. So they didn't have to numb it at all.

Catch up

Well still here in Missouri with some time on my hands so i figured I'd play catch up. Since Holloween we went to see monster trucks, and my little monster Matt had a blast.
Then my friend Amanda and her mom Kelly threw a diaper party /baby shower for me and mr Jared. Which was awesome because we have only had to buy one package of diapers so far and that's because were on vacation, thanks every one !

Then of course thanksgiving. Matt had fun playing with Grandpa at my parents house.

Then we all got sick taking turns puking and all sorts of nasty.

And Stevens Christmas present. He found a fish tank online so we picked it up .

Blessings in disguise

Well as most of you know our trip to Branson Missouri has been quite the adventure. Our water pump broke in Kansas, my mother in law fell off a cliff, our store was broken in to. And my car is once again out of commission.  With all of this "bad luck" i can't help but notice all the blessings hidden within.

We were blessed to have family who was willing to drive 3 hrs to help us fix my car in the cold snow, so we could be on our way.

We were very blessed that my MaMa Jo is still with us and although it will be a long road we expect her to make a full recovery.

We have been on the phone and don't think anything worth value was taken from our store.

And we are blessed that my car once again decided to break, across the street from an auto parts store, without the cranky kiddos in it to make it worse.
I have had my car 5 years, put 60k + miles on it, driven it through
At least 13 states, including to NC and back 4 times. its seen our wedding and 2 babys, and this is the first major issues we've had.

And for all this i am thankfull

(So lets hope we can get it fixed tomorrow and get home safely without any more excitement)
